hello all,
im going to buy a new laptop and was oriented to buy a macbook pro and was aiming at the 13" size. But the new 2011 model have "Intel HD Graphics 3000" card and dunno what to do.
Surfing the web it seems that this gpu isnt that bad (somebody claims that is nearly on par with the nvidia 320m you can find on mackbook air), but still im quite suspicious on intel cards. Can someone tell me if its able to play decently eve-online?
Its not necessary to be able to run smoothly with all settings maxed, just that is playable on average settings.

Im not buying a computer for gaming stuff and im not a mac maniac that trust only mac devices. TO be host that would be my first mac ( i owned only pc since now). The reason i want a mac is because im a system administrator and work mostly with Linux and Solaris servers. I never had many experiencies with OSX and i wanted to learn more ( i like the fact that its a unix os ).
I know you can put OSX on a PC and make them work ( more or less ) but it's far from be the same thing. The gaming part is secondary and all i want is that i can occasionally run eve. So all i want is not choose a model that make me totally unable to play any game. Actually im evaluating if its better buy a mbp 13" or a mb air 13". The air have nvidia 320m wich is more than enough to run eve, but i like to have a stronger CPU, on the other side i would avoid a hardware with comapatibility issues.

The thread you linked talk about another mac with different graphic card. Macbook air mount Nvidia 320m. I asked specifically about a feedbach with this intel card. I already surfed the web and it seems that this intel card is not that bad ( almost equal to nvidia 320m, and better than the 310m) so it should be able, but with intel cards you will never know if there is some incompatibility with our favorite game, so i asked if somebody tested it specifically with even online and how ( if ) it works.
